The Big Wish List
Last Thursday afternoon, an explorative visit to 22 Rasheed St. took place.
At 3 p.m. the light in the apartment is still very nice, even now in 'winter'.
The electricity is working, the air-conditioning, too.
However, we are in need of many things we wish we had to get started, seriously working:
* cleaning equipment: broom, sponges, soap etc.
In terms of furniture, the priority is for the meeting table with chairs, so we can start having meetings & a work station for some people.
If you have unused stuff at home, that you could donate or sell for a good price, please please get in touch with us. We'd even come and pick up stuff, if needed ;-)

* a stove

* lamps
* bathroom equipment (nice towels, soap, toilet paper)
* some plants?!
* and lots of paper, pencils, cups, mugs, plates, forks, spoons, knives ...

on Monday afternoon it will be official: shared workspace, a habitat for social entrepreneurs and others looking for and in need of something else than coffee shops and 5 start hotels, for working and meeting people, will find a habitat at 22 Rasheed St., 3rd floor.

WE ARE GATHERING!!!!!
Wednesday, 28 March, 7 - 9 p.m. @ Buzzy Bee pre-school, Heliopolis
It will be a first step to bring together people from various sectors, groups and locations in Cairo. We want to share our vision of creating a family hub (and maybe some other hubs, too) in Heliopolis and other parts of Cairo.
We plan to start a collaborative process envisioning the Hub experience for Cairo.
We will also report on our experience meeting other hubbits in London in earlier in March. Please feel free to spread the word! There will be some food & drinks available, for a small cost contribution.
