If you are looking for a meeting space, or quiet workspace, by the hour or the day or week or month, please get in touch - we are here for you.

Basic rates are EGP 50 per day (EGP 10/hour) or EGP 500 for one month access.

Opening hours are Monday to Thursday, and Saturday, from 10am to 2pm.

Signing up for one month access (and paying a deposit) will give you pre and after hour access, too ;-)

The wireless dsl is up and running, so is the landline, you can scan, print, copy, and make yourself a coffee or tea.

There is a kitchen, too, and if needed, you can stay over for a night or two (specific conditions apply for that option).

The Big Wishlist - Reviewed

wishes and needs as per 25 September 2010

* some nice, big garbage bins

* foldable chairs & many many shelves

* a fridge

* some more carpets, pillows, for the Basata corner

* lamps - we got some nice ones, now we need spots

* some plants!!!

* a data show would be cool! so we can watch movies and hold professional presentations

* and lots of paper, pencils, cups, mugs, plates, forks, spoons, knives ...

If you have unused stuff at home, that you could donate or sell for a good price, please please get in touch with us. We'd even come and pick up stuff, if needed ;-)

We have made some progress, i.e. the wireless dsl is working at last, we have acquired some more tables and chairs, the bathroom has been repaired, an oven will be in the kitchen from next week.

But building a hub is a co-creation process, so we are inviting all those interested to join us in the process!

We want to repair doors, paint walls, build new co-working tables, shelves for storage, a community message board, pigeon holes for all hub members, etc etc

The Big Wish List

Last Thursday afternoon, an explorative visit to 22 Rasheed St. took place.
At 3 p.m. the light in the apartment is still very nice, even now in 'winter'.
The electricity is working, the air-conditioning, too.
However, we are in need of many things we wish we had to get started, seriously working:

* cleaning equipment: broom, sponges, soap etc.

* min. one garbage bin ;-)

* chairs, tables, shelves, a couch, a meeting table with chairs (min. 4)

* water cooker (electric one)

* a stove

* fridge

* some carpets

* lamps

* bathroom equipment (nice towels, soap, toilet paper)

* some plants?!

* and lots of paper, pencils, cups, mugs, plates, forks, spoons, knives ...

In terms of furniture, the priority is for the meeting table with chairs, so we can start having meetings & a work station for some people.

on Monday afternoon it will be official: shared workspace, a habitat for social entrepreneurs and others looking for and in need of something else than coffee shops and 5 start hotels, for working and meeting people, will find a habitat at 22 Rasheed St., 3rd floor.
